Challenge
Creating dynamic finance
The spaces where the two desks are situated have a theme - the flow of
finance. In the case of the entrance - from the lights to the art - there is some form of
fluid energy that can be seen as it represents the constant movement and energy of financial
transactions. On the other hand, the conference room has a unique shape that leaves little
choice for the design.
But the question remains: How can the design of tables in a workspace effectively reflect
and embody a company's core values?
Approach
Sharp ridges and edges of progress
We decided to tie in the concept of one room through the desk and use the shape of the other
to determine the shape of the table.
In the case of the reception desk, we used birch plywood and Corian to symbolise the flow of
thought and currency. How did we do that? By using complex parametric design principles. The
woods were crafted intricately to evoke the feeling of progress and momentum.
The triangular table, held up by a gold infinity sign, not only continues the thought
process but also adds an extra dimension to the room. The unique structure of the table
complements the unique structure of the room as well.
Solution
Fortifying ethos in art
A complex project and an abstract concept that had the most skilled maestros scratching their heads. However, a creative challenge is what we thrive on and we pride ourselves on delivering above and beyond. Feeling inspired by Moneyedge, we decided to represent them through art. The ridges, lines, and slits in the art pieces serve as a reminder of the resilient world of finance, providing a powerful symbol for anyone who enters either of the rooms.
