The Gucci Summer 24’ collection gets its name from Italian beach clubs or ‘lidos’. Sabato De Sarno has embraced the spirit of vibrancy and joy synonymous with the season. We helped Gucci craft window displays that matched the energy of De Sarno’s campaign for their stores in Mumbai and Delhi.

Challenge

Cold pools for hot days

Lidos have one primary function: to blow off steam on a hot day. For a collection whose campaign showcases the pure ecstasy of a pool party, it is no surprise that Gucci wants the same emotion to be felt in their stores. The sheer joy of cannonballing into a cold pool on a hot day just can’t be expressed. Or can it?

Approach

Water is not wet.

And neither are the window displays. To accurately portray the mood of the collection, the path was pretty clear. Gucci wanted to put a pool in their window display. Or at least the feeling of one, so we did just that.

Solution

You could (almost) dive right in.

A combination of plexiglass, dynamic lighting and immaculate execution resulted in a retail store experience that captures the exciting energy of the collection. The Lido collection being our third project with Gucci, execution was seamless, completed overnight and in record time. Multiple installation drills and extensive recce from our team definitely paid off.
