Senior Copywriter

About the position

As a Senior Copywriter, you'll be the voice behind powerful, clear, and impactful messages for various media, from print ads to TVCs, marketing materials, websites, and everything in between. You’ll oversee and mentor Junior Copywriters, ensuring their growth while delivering captivating copy for diverse audiences across industries.

What You’ll Be Doing

Crafting Compelling Messages:

You’ll bring clarity and creativity to everything you write. Whether it’s a tagline, an ad script, or a full-fledged campaign, you’ll write with precision, ensuring every word has a purpose.

Understanding the Bigger Picture:

From interpreting client briefs to researching their competition and target audience, your ability to dig deep into the client’s world is essential. This insight will help you craft copy that resonates with the audience and stands out in the marketplace.

Delivering Excellence:

Your command over the English language is unparalleled. Whether it’s editing, proofreading, or writing copy from scratch, you’ll ensure everything is sharp, engaging, and impactful. Concise yet attention-grabbing? That’s your signature style.

Collaborating & Leading:

You’ll be working closely with clients, colleagues, and cross-functional teams, including visualizers, graphic designers, and social media experts. As the leader of the content team, you’ll steer the creation of compelling materials for print, web, social media, and digital marketing.

Building Strategy & Execution:

Lead the charge in content strategy for both small- and large-scale projects, making sure the messaging aligns with the brand and the strategy is crystal clear. You’ll oversee all content output, ensuring it's on point, on time, and on message.

Creative Direction:

Not only will you guide the team in executing the copy, but you'll also be a creative force, conceptualizing visuals and approving art and content, ensuring that each deliverable meets marketing goals and client expectations.

Client Presentations:

You’ll own the presentation of final concepts, ensuring clients are on board with your vision and obtaining approvals for the deliverables. Your ability to confidently articulate your ideas and influence is key.

What We’re Looking For

Education:

A degree (graduate/postgraduate/diploma) in a relevant field.

Experience:

A minimum of 3+ years in copywriting, ideally in an agency or corporate setting. Your portfolio is essential, show us how you think, your approach, and even work that never got produced. Prior project management experience and leadership in creative direction are a bonus.

  • Exceptional creative writing skills with a keen understanding of culture, brand dynamics, and target audience.
  • Strong leadership qualities and the ability to guide, inspire, and review the work of your team.
  • A passion for collaboration and working across multiple projects, deadlines, and teams.
  • Attention to detail, a deep sense of creativity, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills to ensure smooth collaboration.
